Project Background and Motivation

An African terminology, Kiama – sometimes Kiamaa – denotes an assembly. Currently, the term has assumed a popular connotation. Today’s colloquial ‘chamas’ are investment groupings which hold regular social meetings with the aim of contributing and pooling together financial resources. The additional ‘a’ letter – that renders ‘Kiama’ ‘Kiamaa’ – serves an emphasis role. It ascribes ‘truth’ to the Chama institution. Chama then signifies an investment group that is governed by ‘truth’. This Chama ‘truth’ beautifully ties in with the superb, unsurpassed digital records and management services rendered by Simple Alliance.

Cube Elements

Simple Alliance used rounded cubes of different sizes to represent the incremental growth of Chamas. This expansion sees Chamas develop from minions into large investment entities. The growth is facilitated by a bonding revolution as is seen in the grey-to-violet colour change.

The Kiamaa website features stylish colour, depth, and tone that give it a sophisticated look. Excellent colour and white space principles are evident in the outstanding branding appearing at the heading of this page. Journey Kenya – a web based tour and travel agency – is a reputable integrated lodge and hotel booking and payment facilitation firm. Our client has an up-to-date database featuring information about a wide range of accommodation facilities.

Project Overview and Expectations

Following close consultation with our client, Simple Alliance resolved to develop a neat, professional and user-friendly website. Our client wanted a design that features attractive tools while providing localised content to users. Basically, the Journey Kenya website was envisaged to facilitate our client’s seamless contact with local as well as global clients. Further, the proposed site aimed to consolidate Journey Kenya’s brand identity that focuses on boutique and luxury accommodation facilities in Kenya.

Project Highlights

The Journey Kenya website features a number of significant, functional elements, including: News; Specials; Discover; and Hotels.

Hotels

Being at the core of our client’s business, the Hotels section received adequate attention from our dedicated personnel. Simple Alliance thus subdivided the section into two parts, namely: Comprehensive Hotel and lodge data; and Online Booking and Accommodation subcomponents.

News

Undoubtedly, information is power, especially in this age of astounding dynamism. Recognising this fact, Simple Alliance incorporated a News section onto the Journey Kenya website. Within this section, users interact with current information about relevant happenings within the hospitality sector. We used a tailored word press subdirectory installation for this section.

Specials

Variety is the spice of life. Interacting with the same thing over and over – even though the interaction is exquisite – is a sure recipe for fatigue or burnout. Journey Kenya is intensely aware of this fact. To preclude the possibility of user lethargy, we thus incorporated a Specials feature onto our client’s website. Within this section, users will learn about out-of-the-ordinary customised holiday packages that involve numerous destinations and which offer varied travel experiences.

Discover

The Discover section focuses on Kenya. Here, users savour a wide array of information about the picturesque East African gem. Our client is at liberty to provide users with Kenyan travel data touching on aspects such as: activities, destinations; or experiences and activities.
